It has been a long time.

What's up! :)
I took a nap today and i can't fall asleep now.

I walked up to the kitchen and search for food to eat.

That's like my favorite food man.

It's damn irritating when you can't fall asleep at night.

This will be my last time taking a afternoon nap man.



Tomorrow is e-learning day for my school which means that the whole school won't have to come to school.
They just need to complete their assignments at e-learning portal at home.(singapore online education thing.)
So if you see me going online, please don't ask me why am i not in school.

BUT!



I still have to go to school by 11am tomorrow because there will be a chinese drama competition.
Well, schools like compassvale sec, st patricks, bedok view and many more are participating as english drama.
We are the only school that is participating as a chinese drama team.

Get it?

I had put in a lot of effort in this competition, hope that we can achieve good results, like champion.
Or at least a best actor award for me. (male lead okay, ahem*)

Effective studies skills.

I know people like me have little motivation to study.
So, I did a search on the web on the effective ways to study.
See, I'm so good.

"N" & "O" level papers are coming.
Read these study tips carefully to score well! :)

Let's start off with the first step, improving our study habits.

1) Within eight hours of school lessons, go through your notes for 15 minutes.
- You can do this while waiting for the next period teacher to come. Just do it when you have the free time. This will help you because you have a rough idea on what the teacher will be going to teach you. This way, you get to understand the chapter that you are studying better.

2) Preparing for exams.
- One of the most effective ways to prepare for an exam is to take an exam. That may seem like an obvious premise but it is something that most people do not do. Nor do people want to prepare in this manner. It is anxiety provoking. Furthermore, it is intentional stressful and most people will shy away from that kind of preparation.

The best way to approach this is with a study partner from the class. Have your study partner prepare an exam for you - and you do the same for your study partner. Make it difficult. The task is to find out what you do not know. And you also want to simulate exam conditions. Prepare the exam for an hour and a half. Then actually do the exam in an hour. In sports parlance, it is preparing yourself for “game conditions”.

The preparation of the exam is important. It takes the person out of “student mode”. You are approaching the material from an instructor’s perspective. - What would the professor ask? - By preparing a simulated exam for your study partner, it is reviewing the material based on what an instructor would deem important for the students to know and to examine.

Why you want your study partner to make the exam difficult is that you want to find out what you don’t know. There is absolutely no gain in studying and reviewing material that you already know. It is a poor use of your time. You want to find out your area / areas of weakness, so that you can focus on correcting that deficiency. This means a real critical self examination, which is not pleasant. However, it is excellent preparation. If it is possible to prepare in this manner, the actual exam will seem easy. You will have had someone test you with the most difficult material already and you are prepared. You will be ‘game ready’.

This week had been very hectic.
Mathematics prelims, chinese drama, tuition, revision and many more.



I am seriously addicted to the drama, "Fated to love you.".
I can't be blamed either.
It's the highest rating in Taiwan in the history anyway.



There are many things that I want to do;

1. Cut my hair.
2. Tapered my pants.
3. Get a cap.
4. New school shoes.
5. One pair of shoe for me to wear for shopping and stuffs.
6. Go to the polyclinic and get a referral letter to get my acne cured.
7. Take photos. (Sick and tired of searching the web for photos to be posted.)
8. Attend clubbing with Germaine and co.
   

When will I have the damn time to complete these things.
Of course, money is also a problem.

Something just urge me to go and have a job.
But, I do not want work to affect my studies.

I must really study hard to lead a good life.

Lost interest in blogging.

Frankly speaking, I no longer have the interest to blog already.
Perhaps, I will only blog when I feel like it from today onwards.

Sunday life.

I slept at 9pm and woke up at 9am.
After that, I woke up and did my a-maths homework as well as revising for my o-level emaths prelims tomorrow.
Shit, I just started revising today only.

Studied til around 1.30pm, i used my computer.

Something made my day today.
I finally saw Sandy online and chatted with her on msn.
We talk on the phone for around 30 minutes?

I could tell that she had changed.

She misses school a lot.
But I hate school a lot.

Anyway have you guys heard of the news that the Head of ren ci hospital is arrested.
I was shocked when I know that he was arrested.

"THE long-time head of Ren Ci Hospital, the Venerable Ming Yi, was arrested yesterday and stepped down from all his positions at the charity, according to a report by The Straits Times

He posted police bail of $200,000 last night and left the Commercial Affairs Department at the Police Cantonment Complex at about 11pm after giving his statement. He was wearing his monk robes.

The Straits Times said that the arrest comes five months after he went on long leave when the police were asked to probe the charity's finances.

The Health Ministry found 'possible irregularities' in Ren Ci's books after an audit.

At the heart of the issue were questionable loans made by the hospital, amounting to several million dollars. Some of these loans were allegedly given to companies with links to the Venerable Ming Yi.

There were also loans given to a helper with the charity as well as investments made over the years in his name.

As a result of the probe, Ren Ci lost the right to grant its supporters tax exemption for donations."

He lent the hospital funds to some temples who are in need of money.
That's the reason why he was arrested.
I find him quite poor thing actually.

I used to be a person without dream and motivation to study.
But, after watching this show, I really felt like studying like crazy.

This may sound stupid to you that watching Taiwan dramas made me want to study.
I really want to be like the male lead in the show.

I want to be a person with a stable career.
A person with a house of more than 5 maids wearing the same uniform, more than 5 expensive cars with chauffeur, 1 personal caring secretary and many more.
This really motivate me a lot.

It's really stupid to use that as a goal.
But, who cares.

Everyone gets a chance, so why not fight for the chance than to give up.
I remember someone telling me this, "You either work hard and get good results OR you give up and suffer."
He's doing great now.
I tell you, he really suffered a lot.

It's either I go up to secondary five and fail my "o" levels or I go up to secondary five and pass my "o" levels.
You must be thinking why am i thinking of o levels rather than "N" level.

"Passing "N" level isn't a difficult thing, everyone can do it BUT passing "O" level is a different thing."
Note: You need to at least pass don't know how many subjects before you can even get a "n" or "o" level certificate.

Well, it was raining when i met her at Hougang mall.
We headed off to amk hub and decided to catch a movie.

I am quite afraid of dying because people said that there will be a next life after you are dead.
For teenagers, we do not tend to think so far.
We just think that we will live forever.

It's too scary to think of death.

Although I am a taoism, I don't quite believe in second life.

Chapter 2: Blogging

Well, I started blogging at 2005. I was only 13 years old that time. I was inspired by one of my friends to start blogging. I saw her nice blogskin she had on her blog.

But, the blogskin was not done by her. It was taken from www.blogskins.com which I later decided to create my own blog using the blogskins there.

The mindset I had when I started blogging was not to earn money or whatever because I was still so young to realize all these benefits from blogging. I wanted to have my own style of blogskins and to record my journals.

Each time I changed a blogskin, I learnt something. That's when all my learning of creating a blogskin started from.

Of course, I started from the very beginning like changing the profile session and all. Step by step, I started to learn how to change backgrounds, borders. From there, my experience of creating a blogskin gets wider and wider.

Those frequently asked questions.



1) How do you create such a nice blogskin?

It takes effort and time to discover some codes which will be useful to your blogskin. When I started creating my blog, I changed my blogskin almost everyday in that period of time. My skills really got better and better. After a few weeks, I started to change blogskin only every week then to every month.

Of course, you must have the interest in creating your own blogskin. Now, all my blogskins are not edited from www.blogskins.com. I created all by myself which I think I did quite well.



2) How many blogskins have you made so far?

Well, I think that the blogskins that i've made so far were not too little nor too much. A rough number would be 40. The level of difficulty i did for all my blogskins nowadays are quite high.

Of course, I look out for a space of improvement each time a blogskin is made.



3) So what about your blog traffic?

My traffic only started to come last december when I joined nuffnang. From a 10 visitors each day gradually increased to a minumum of 80 unique visitors on average each day. (They count it by i.p address and not by the number of times you refreshed.) Sometimes, it even reached to a 150 unique visitors. I know these are nuts to Xiaxue and Kennysia.

Basically, to me, I find that it is quite a lot already. I know there are bloggers who have much more visitors than me. I admit that I will be very worried when my visitors gets lesser.



4) How much have you earned from blogging?

I had earned $42.44 from blogging up till today. Well, that's also because I only started to know how to earn money from nuffnang on February. Before that, I totally didn't know how to get advertisements for my own blog so that I can earn money.

I get advertisements every month without fail. That's all thanks to my loyal visitors! I started to tell my friends about nuffnang and how to earn money through it. Unlike some selfish people. That's why they earned money faster. :)

For my advertisements, I got band one, two, three, four and even five! The higher the band, the more amount of money you would get paid!



5) So did many people asked you to do blogskins?

Yes. I created blogskin for them when they requested a blogskin from me. After a few months, I decided to stop doing blogskins for people anymore. I only did blogskins when I have the feeling of doing it or when it's my close friends or whoever.

The latest blogskin that I had done for someone was Cynthia's one. That's like a few months ago. Haha! The one who inspired me to blog because of the blogskin she was using was also her. Haha!



6) Did many people seek help whenever they have problems with blogskins?

YESYESYES! AND I SERIOUSLY HATE TO ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS BECAUSE IT'S REALLY ANNOYING.

About sleep.

Well, I am going to talk about sleeping stuffs here.
So if you are not interested in this, um.. perhaps you can come back later? :)



1) How much sleep do we need?

This depends mainly on how old we are.

• Babies sleep for about 17 hours each day.
• Older children only need 9 or 10 hours a night.
• Most adults need around 7-8 hours sleep each night.
• Older people need the same amount of sleep, but will often only have one period of deep sleep during the night, usually in the first 3 or 4 hours, after which they wake more easily. We also tend to dream less as we get older.

There are also differences between people of the same age. Most of us need 7-8 hours a night, but some (a few) people can get by with only 3 hours a night. It's not helpful to regularly sleep more than 7-8 hours each night.

The short periods of being awake feel much longer than they really are. So it's easy to feel that we are not sleeping as much as we actually are.

2) What if I don't sleep?

It's easy to worry when you can't sleep. The occasional night without sleep will make you feel tired the next day, but it won't harm your physical or mental health.

However, after several sleepless nights, you will start to find that:

• you are tired all the time
• you drop off during the day
• you find it difficult to concentrate
• you find it hard to make decisions
• you start to feel depressed.

This can be very dangerous if you are driving or operating heavy machinery. Many deaths are caused each year by people falling asleep at the wheel while driving.

Lack of sleep may also make us more vulnerable to high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes.

So clubbers, you must sleep. Otherwise, you might get those diseases stated above :)

3) What if you cannot get to bed?

Well, walter is here to help! :) These are the following tips you can do to fall sleep easier. I hope some might help?

• Make sure that your bed and bedroom are comfortable - not too hot, not too cold, not too noisy.
• Make sure that your mattress supports you properly. It should not be so firm that your hips and shoulders are under pressure or so soft that your body sags. Generally, you should replace your mattress every 10 years to get the best support and comfort.
• Get some exercise. Don't overdo it, but try some regular swimming or walking. The best time to exercise is in the daytime - particularly late afternoon or early evening. Exercising later than this may disturb your sleep.
• Take some time to relax properly before going to bed. Some people find aromatherapy helpful.
• If something is troubling you, and there is nothing you can do about it right away, try writing it down before going to bed and then tell yourself to deal with it tomorrow.
• If you can't sleep, get up and do something you find relaxing. Read, watch television or listen to quiet music. After a while you should feel tired enough to go to bed again.

Three of us, Germaine-Jeremy-Walter, were finding our way to PLAY in a funny way.
We followed people who dressed like they were going to clubbing.
Although, there were many clubs there, they must be going to PLAY on that day lah!
Finally, we reached PLAY and bought the tickets there.

"Chiobu" Jie was hungry. -.-
So, we accompanied her down to seven eleven to eat her tom-yam noodles.
Oh! She just had a hairdo at a salon on that day itself.



Jeremy and Germaine friends came.
We went in to the club together and guess what.
You need the ticket to get free drinks and right on the spot, germaine lost her ticket.
I do not know whether did it vanish into the thin air or what because she was holding on to the ticket one minute ago!

Well, we went in and danced til 3am.



We walked around the area there hoping to find one mcdonald's there.
But we ended up taking cab to raffles place mcdonald.

I do not know that Mcdonald's have a 4am special lor!
$2 for a set meal only!

Around 5am, we went out to Singapore River to slack.
Poor me, I have to lend my back to my "tomyam" jie.
She rested on my back for like half and hour lor!

6am, we went off to the mrt station and headed home.

Guess what?
I have not sleep from yesterday till now.

Clubbing tonight!

Oh, I am going to PLAY with germaine jie and jeremy later.
I think I will be back by tomorrow.

6. Relive your secondary days by leaving chalk stuffed in the chalkboard erasers.

7. Sit in the front, sniff suspiciously, and ask the teacher if he's been drinking.

8. Correct the teacher at least ten times on the pronunciation of your name, even it's Smith. Claim that the i is silent.

9. Sit in the front row reading the teacher's graduate thesis and snickering.

10. Feign an unintelligible accent and repeatedly ask, "Vet ozzle haffen dee henvay?" Become agitated when the teacher can't understand you.

11. Wink at the teacher every few minutes. (Hey you might even get a date if he/she is cute.)

12. Every few minutes, take a sheet of notebook paper, write "Signup Sheet #5" at the top, and start passing it around the room.

13. Start a "wave" in a large lecture hall. (you know, like the kallang wave.)

Tuition is mad.

I had been getting really lazy to blog nowadays.

Anyway, I had "N" level oral today.
I was not nervous until i was sitting in the middle of the hall, when i got to be right before the examiners in like one minute.
I can really feel my heart pounding loudly without touching it.

The worst thing was...
I was so nervous that I told the examiners, "Good morning, teachers." when it's around 3 plus pm.
I knew I was going to be nervous when I am in front of them therefore I kept reminding myself to greet them "Good afternoon".

But, in the end..

Chapter 1: My School Life.

I have a horrible form teacher or should I say the worst form teacher I had ever met. He looked like a witch to me.

Sometimes I wonder if he can fly when he sits on the broom.

Firstly, he teaches us some bad things by doing it himself.
For instance, he shouted to the whole class today that;


(He seriously looked like that when he barked at the whole class.)

"What happens when the principal screw me up! I will "F" all of you up!"

Yeah, this is the kind of teacher that you get in my school.
For no good reason, he screamed the hell out of me.

Secondly, he is biased.
He catches only the male students in the class but not the girls.

I wonder if he is siding with the same gender as him or what? ^^
He will not do anything with the girls even if their skirts are "damn bloody short" (I learnt this term from him. - He always use that.)

But!!!!



ONCE THE MALE STUDENTS HAIR GETS LONG, ....

"Your hair is an eyesore to me, get it cut!"

I think he had a deprived secondary school life that's why he is taking revenge for himself on us.

Biased witch.
